The illustrations of the Lazarus Effect are show the German Lazarusse (animals and plants) as a memorial of transience, extinction through man. The development of The Lazarus Effect is based on the theme of the Lazarus-Effect, as coined by paleontologist David Jablonski. This pertains to the unintentional rediscovery (by accident, through expedition or through relocation projects) of a previously lost or considered extinct form of life. The project is a multimedia awareness campaign using black and white vector illustrations of representatives from flora and fauna that are currently subject.
