The background of this design is that designers observed when people use tape, they often cannot find the tape cut where. The observation of subtle problems is what designers want to create. So they used gradient colors instead of traditional scotch tape. After the user uses the tape, due to the gradient, the tape incision will form an obvious color difference. The next time the user can easily find out where the tape cut is.
