The particular shape of the annular luminaire is inspired by king snake and the phenomenon of the self-cannibalism; If these snakes get too hot, they begin to eat their own tails, creating a circle. There happens a self-cannibalism cycle between LED lamp and Si based solar cell located in the head and the tail of the luminaire. This eye-catching designincludes a LED light source on the head part of it having a wavelength in 400-1100 nm and a seperateable solar panel (Si based solar cells) that get charged by both light of the LED and the direct sunlight.
