Japanese gardens provided inspiration to this necklace. Garden design is an important Japanese art form that has been refined for more than a thousand years. The necklace is depicted by the technique of Japanese traditional Tsumami Zaiku, a craft made from small and square-cut pieces of cloth that are pinched and folded with tweezers, and European Soutache, a narrow and flat braid in a herringbone pattern usually used as the trimming of drapery or clothing. The center flowers are attachable with a magnet.
