The Cork Trunk, results from a composition of recycled granulate cork and polyurethane, consolidated by compression, heat and a binding element inside a metal cylinder. Primarily produced by Corticeira Amorim for a floor underlay material, the waste cylinder left of that operation is now used for the Cork Trunk. A ten degree cut on one face allows two possible configurations of seated position for different functions, providing special support and comfort, complemented by the flexibility provided to the material by the binder element used between the cork granulate and polyurethane.
