Architecture Design Award Winner.
Awarded for Good Architecture, Building and Structure Design.
Birthing, flourishing and the paradox of roughness and elegance, extracted from regional mountainous landscape, lie at the heart of this project design concept. In giving birth, head appears first so by burying half of the building other half seems to head-out of ground. The conceptual paradox appears in building’s heavy forms head-out of its green context which flourished from inside through its infiltrated open spaces. Visibility from city-to-site and otherwise, sustainability, contextual design, local heritage and enhancement of ecological and social aspects of project take place in design.
