'Princess X' was one of the most challenging Jewellery design, both technically and emotionally. The element 'Cross of fate', which design developed into one of James Ganh's signature engineer collection. His inspirations are mostly from love stories, it may sound abstract but there are always plenty of details in romance to inspire. Princess X has achieved its aesthetics, transformable functionality and most importantly expressing its emotional origin .

What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
Jewel Engineer, reinvent luxury. Inspired by love, expressing the idea 'Cross of Fate'
What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
Focus on aesthetic and technical beauty. Challenging traditional and modern crafts skills.
What are your future plans for this award winning design?
It has already been develop into a wider range of small jewellery collection.
How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
Princess - Every female lover should be treated like a princess on their wedding day X - symbolise the 'Cross of Fate' and the signature movement and structure.
How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
This creation has a great romantic beginning and lovely outcome, now it deserves to enter a great arena of beauty contest to gain a lovely result.
What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
Patience and determination, keep searching for solution and never give up, because the result is worth it.
