Quzend studio team had a goal to create a packaging for instant soups saying that it is a natural product, as well as very tasty and healthy soups. As this is the first batch of soups to be produced and it should attract attention, the emphasis was on color solutions. Each main shade completely repeats the color of the product, and the black background of the package intensifies this effect of brightness showing it in contrast. On the cover there is a minimum of information to attract the client with a sense of taste and beauty of the product.

Interview with Elvira Firsova on ZeSoup Instant cream soups

What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
Love of pumpkins!) Packing with pumpkin was the first, then I did the rest of the packs starting from the first impression.
What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
I wanted to show that the soups are delicious, the same as the grandmother prepares. Natural, but it saves your time.
What are your future plans for this award winning design?
These awards are a big step forward for me, since I needed to understand what I can. This pobada gave me a big push and confidence that I'm doing the right thing.
How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
Approximately 1 week was needed to work out the idea and search for a suitable species
What made you design this particular type of work?
I like it when the customer is happy, getting the work done. This is our goal, making people happier and letting them fall in love with their business
What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
Many soups are patterned and do not attract attention. They either show naturalness or taste.
How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
It was easy, since we used the name "Ze Soup". We added a note "Ze" to give something foreign to our soups.
What is the most unique aspect of your design?
Probably the goal is to cause an appetite and a desire to try our soup
Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
We conducted research in the store. How many people react to our design. How much they want to take it in their hands and see.
What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
Controversial black background. Since many products have a white background. It seemed that this would alienate the consumer.
How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
I decided to try myself and understand how important it is that I do
What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
I learned to approach the project from two sides: the realization of the idea of the client and the embodiment of his idea in reality. Everyone will understand what happens in most cases - these are two wound solutions.
