What is "design" for you?
Design covers multiple fields.Design is the process of solving problems, it is a creative activity.
What kinds of works do you like designing most?
My favorite works use natural materials, such as bamboo, wood, and rattan weaving.
What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
My favorite chair is from the Song Dynasty,The chairs of the Song Dynasty presented a neat, concise, elegant and simple artistic style, with an approachable temperament.
When do you feel the most creative?
I can extract a lot of inspiration from nature and inspire a lot of creativity.
What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
I think design is a dialogue with users, so good expression is important.
What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
When I solved the difficulties in the design, I felt a great sense of achievementt.
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
Design is a purposeful social behavior, not an individual's self-expression.
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
Design is integrating multiple fields, and future forms of design presentation will become increasingly diverse.
When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
The last time I participated in an exhibition was in 2019. In the future, I hope to participate in more exhibition methods, such as cloud exhibitions.
Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
My design inspiration comes from traditional culture, and I believe that a profound understanding of tradition is essential for innovation.
How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
My design inspiration comes from tradition, extracting inspiration elements from tradition as design elements.
What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
When collaborating with a company, designers should have their own unique design style.
Can you talk a little about your design process?
My design process involves subtraction, starting with divergent thinking and then selecting a perspective to delve deeper into the design.
What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?
My favorite items are desk lamps, floor lamps, vases, screens, and chairs.
From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
As a designer, the advantage is having a keen observation ability, but the disadvantage is sometimes being a bit sensitive.
Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
I designed using the most basic software PS, ai,3dmax. I usually find inspiration from nature or museums, and establish a material library to facilitate my own summarization.
Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?
I will spend a lot of time researching and communicating with users in the early stage, and spend a small amount of time completing it later.
How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
The time for me to design an item mainly depends on the project timeline
What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
What I am most often asked is what I think is good about my design.
What was your most important job experience?
My most important work experience cannot be considered as work experience, it is my graduation project experience. Since graduation, I have never spent so much time designing again.
What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
I love themed design work the most, as it doesn't require aimless design.

How did you become a designer?
I have loved design since I was young and aspire to become a designer.
What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?
Do more design and participate in competitions like A’DESIGN AWARD.
How do you decide if your design is ready?
I draw inspiration from masters such as Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe in the field of design.
What is your biggest design work?
I like Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona chair, which has a simple yet aesthetically pleasing design.
Who is your favourite designer?
I am good at making bamboo series products, which give chairs a different expression through materials
What are your philanthropic contributions to society as a designer, artist and architect?
Design covers multiple fields.Design is the process of solving problems, it is a creative activity.
What positive experiences you had when you attend the A’ Design Award?
My teacher introduced me and gave me a direction and method for design.
