CoCo Ree Lemery is a designer of furniture, products, and environments. With a deep commitment to the exploration of craftsmanship, CoCo's work straddles the spheres of Art and Design. Since 2007, she has designed, fabricated and developed theatrical scenery, experiential events, and scenography. Over the course of her career, CoCo has collaborated with highly established design firms, production houses, developers, and artists on large scale projects. In 2017, she launched her first furniture collection, self-producing original lines of contemporary work using recycled materials as the foundation of a form. Currently, CoCo is the lead furniture, lighting, and product designer for Jonathan Adler, a global home decor brand based in NYC. CoCo received her bachelor's degree from Columbia College, studied Studio Art and Design at The Art Institute of Chicago, and has her master's degree from Savannah College of Art & Design. A passionate educator, she has worked with students at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Northwestern University, North Central College, Savannah College of Art & Design, Hope College, and After School Matters. In 2017, CoCo was presented with the Micheal Merritt Emerging Artist Award for Collaboration. Her designs have also been given award-winning recognition from NYCxDESIGN Awards, Pinnacle Awards, International Design Awards, European Product Design Awards, and the JS Kemper Foundation. She currently resides in New York and continues her education through her evolving work and curiosities.
