About Gray and Gold Interior Design
Grey color is considered to be boring. But today this color is one from the head-liners in such styles as loft, minimalism and hi-tech. Gray is a color of preference for privacy, some peace, and rest. It mostly invites those, who work with people or are engaged in cognitive demands, as a general interior color. The walls, ceiling, furniture, curtains, and floors are grey. Hues and saturation of the grey are different only. Gold was added by additional details and accessories. It is accentuated by the picture frame.

The case was to make the flat, which is located in Nevskiy prospect and features the thick walls and high ceilings, into the comfortable accommodation, which is able to inject the brightest emotions to the owner while he is in Saint-Petersburg. - Dimensions & Packaging
- The square by floor is 180 m^2.
We began our work when the house has just been built, so it was completely empty and new. Nobody has lived there before. There wasn’t any renovation and furniture there. We elaborated all communications from the beginning according to the up-to-date quality standards, including the system of automatization of the level of enlightenment, climate-systems, internet-communications and audio-system, home appliances. - Production Technology
- Designer chooses warm and grey colors. Color scheme is not bright. Half-tones created necessary strict, but cozy atmosphere of the fine old mansion. All the materials which were used for decorative styling were manufactured by the best producers, are high-qualified and have better characteristics
- Design Challenge
- When design was created the great number of teeenagers in family was taken into the account, each of them wanted their own style in their bedroom. We have realized it successfully and have combined that with the common general motifs of the substantive style of the designer.
- Project Duration
- Designer has started interior-design developing for these apartments in October, 2018. Several versions have been created and the final version was accepted in the March of 2019. Project is located in Moscow, Russia
- Operation Flow
- The designer has created unique atmosphere by the mixing classical and contemporary elements and using the most modern technologies. These apartments are really luxury and prestigious
- Research
- Apartments are placed in the newer modern housing complex of lux class. While reconstruction works were provided by the designer, project works, development researches, researches for professional integration all conceived ideas in technologic and esthetical meanings were held.
- Inspiration
- Soft and comfortable interior with the majority of gray-colored-powder and coffee hues with the several metallic elements of chromium, golden and frosted golden coloring have become the basical idea of that project designed by Sergei Savateev. In this the apartment is full of plants - as real, as decorative. The mirrors appear as one more accent, which allows to broaden the spacings, provide it with more light, and give the illusion of the possibility to enter into another placements.

G0E9 ShopDesign Interview about Gray and Gold Interior Design
The main idea of that project is combining the luxury of traditional classical design with the technological bringing. Also its’ gist is in the creation of awesome maxi-functional and yet practical part of this space within the limited square.
The main objective of that project was to accommodate the whole large family in the city apartments with comfort, which is equal to the living in country-house.
It is important to note, that the application of that particular project has been realized for the particular client. But, if somebody will estimate highly my solutions in such measure, that they would like to get it realized at their squares, I would gladly adapt it for another real estate object.
I had spent near 3 months for the project design development.
I had got only small technical requirement from the client, where just the general information and the wish were mentioned. That’s why the concept is increasingly an outcome of my fantasy and inspiration.
This design is completely mine idea. I have realized it with my team for the one of my clients. If I receive a proposal to clone or to adapt it or to create something similar with it for any other proposal from any country I’m ready to discuss and realize it. But all my projects are under my personal control.
This project is a sample of the design for my target auditory. Usually, my clients are top-managers, entrepreneurs, show-runners, famous people and people from the high society.
This project differs from the likes by 2 very important principles. It’s a sufficient number of the decoration details, high density of things, located at the small areas and despite of that fact, this project doesn’t look oversaturated. Also this project is about rather complex blend of undertones of the grey shades with brass shades and golden tones. Essentially, it’s a monochrome implementation with the bright golden shades. But in this that project doesn’t look boring , cold or colorless.
Grey and golden - is the substantial basis of the draft. The harmony appears in the mix of contraries here. Grey is the color of the movement to the privacy, peace and relaxation. Golden is grandiose, rich, warm and bright. These colors are contrasting and complementing each other perfectly. Its’ tandem is so naturalistic as the neighborhood of the shade and sun.
My team and me use a lot of various programs, frameworks and different technical equipment for creating a project. It includes programs for sketches and collages creating, for design drawings making, three-dimensional modeling software and applications for photo processing.
I really want to hear or to read professional review of my projects from the jury gentlemen and ladies. I would like to know, what exactly did they find especially interesting and catching. If I would estimate my project by myself, I would name a set of strengths - I mean the original color mix and maximally effective room program.
Assistants, 3d graphic designers, engineers and supply managers help me with my projects.
The apartments are situated in the new modern housing community of lux class. Project works, development researches, researches for professional integration of all conceived ideas in technological and esthetical meanings were held into the reality at the time when reconstruction works were provided by me and my Savateev design bureau team members.
I had just got an invitation to participate. I’m really thankful for that!
