About A Residences Residential Apartment
A Residences is the interior design of a 93 square meter residential apartment in Singapore. The wall between the living room and a bedroom was removed to enlarge the living and dining area. The cabinets have fine groove lines that hide the openings and follow the ceiling strip design. Green vinyl is combined with wood-like flooring for a warm effect. Cove lighting at the beam height conceals the beam and makes the ceiling appear higher. Full-height windows bring the outside greenery into the home.

- Production Technology
- Wood is timeless element which come with different texture and tone, giving their own character. Adding colour with the punch of blue wall for the relax, clam and productively at the study and dining with cozy white on the furniture contrast which give a neat and positive to the space.
Cove lighting at the beam height, smartly hide the beam in the middle of the living after hacking of the wall. This also create an illusion that make the whole house ceiling look higher. - Design Challenge
- To hide all the wire without conceal into the wall or ceiling. The ceiling strip need to be divide very precise.

- The project finished on 2017, Located at Singapore.
- Operation Flow
- This project smartly concealed wire for light in the strip surrounding the ceiling. Hacking away wall between living and a bedroom to enlarge the living and dining space. Apartment come with full height window to bring the greenery view outside into the house. Home owner able to sit at the window, relax, gaming on their laptop, enjoy coffee and enjoy the view.

Design Interview about A Residences Residential Apartment
Home owner would like to returning to cozy home after a daylong working hour at office. They enjoy staying at home during non-working day. Usually they enjoy Cafe hopping and cooking at home. Hence we design to bring cafe vibes to the home and plan the kitchen layout within this limited space to meet their everyday needs.
Playing with light and line is the focus for designing this work, yet we does not want to see wires running around the ceiling. By using the line on ceiling is also part of the design details yet can also hide the wiring without doing a false ceiling to lower down the ceiling height.
We does not want to stop here and we will continue and making improvement to our next projects.
