What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
Can Rudayla is a study in contrast — an exploration of how brutalism can become delicate. The entire house is clad in ice-grey concrete, a material chosen for its precision, silence, and permanence. This monolithic envelope is balanced by soft, pale-pink flooring that introduces an almost human tenderness to the composition.
The inspiration was to create emotional balance: structure as discipline, color as breath.
What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
Our focus was to achieve purity through tension. We wanted to design a house that feels sculpted rather than built — where light glides across concrete planes and meets the warmth of subtle chromatic surfaces. The goal was to show that minimalism is not cold; it’s emotional when material and proportion are in perfect equilibrium.
What are your future plans for this award winning design?
This design was developed for a private client.

- The project started in 2019 and finished in 2020 in Ibiza.
- Operation Flow
- The project takes place in a special location, in a defile on the magical island of Ibiza. Its volume is fully adaptive to the geometry of the terrain, as well as its wall covering and exterior finishes.
