About 37 Interactive Entertainment HQ Highrise Building
37 Interactive Entertainment HQ is a high-rise headquarters building in China. Modules are used across the plan and the elevation, which reduces construction time and cost while keeping the quality of the work. Office modules, conference modules and event modules are arranged within a standard rectangular space, and their number and position can be changed on typical floors. A modular facade system responds to the climate of the Lingnan region. The shading pattern is denser on the east side than on the west, so natural light is kept while solar radiation and energy use are reduced.
Positioned within the contemporary discourse surrounding corporate architecture's capacity to embody organizational identity while contributing meaningfully to urban fabric, this tower designed by Guowei Zhang demonstrates sophisticated integration of sculptural ambition with functional program, the dramatic triangular voids carved through the building's mass suggest a bold departure from conventional rectilinear massing strategies while creating opportunities for sky gardens and communal terraces that punctuate the vertical ascent with moments of biophilic respite, the curtain wall system exhibits careful attention to modular repetition and variation producing a facade that reads as unified whole while revealing subtle complexity upon closer examination, the exoskeletal structural expression frames these apertures with assertive diagonal members that communicate forces and loads visibly transforming engineering necessity into architectural expression, particularly noteworthy appears the chromatic relationship established between the building's predominantly cool material palette and the warm interior illumination that suggests active occupation and human presence within the crystalline envelope, the composition's placement within the broader urban context demonstrates sensitivity to skyline contribution with the distinctive silhouette creating memorable civic presence while engaging dialogically with the distant broadcast tower whose polychromatic illumination provides complementary vertical accent, Zhang's design seems to navigate successfully between technological optimism and environmental consciousness through the integration of substantial planted terraces that soften the building's mass while potentially contributing to thermal performance and occupant wellbeing, viewers might contemplate how contemporary commercial architecture negotiates between corporate representation and urban responsibility creating landmarks that serve both organizational identity and collective civic aspiration

- In order to adapt to climate of the Lingnan region in China, GWP has designed a modular façade system on the exterior of the building. Different combinations of modules form the most reasonable shading pattern that is denser on the east side than the west, which guarantees sufficient natural lighting while reduces solar radiation and controls energy usage efficiently. Density variation also creates graceful effects on the building facades, endowing aesthetic charm while enhancing the building’s energy performance.
- Design Challenge
- This project needs to balance the architectural form and the usage efficiency required by the HQ employees. There are a series of challenges to be addressed for the core MEP systems such as HVAC and elevator.

- To meet the need for spatial flexibility of the corporate and make it possible to switch between functions irregularly, GWP has designed Office modules, conference modules, event modules and more others are formulated within a standard rectangular box space. Public event modules can be connected by stairs through lower and upper levels per requirements. Numbers and locations of each type of modules can be adjusted for different scenarios on typical floors. Different room are further refined in the office module, in order to meet different needs for customized functions and free combinations.

- Based off sincere respect to and in-depth interpretation of 37 Interactive Entertainment’s corporate culture, GWP team brings resonance between the core architectural concept of the project and the culture of 37 Interactive Entertainment by creating an exterior curtain wall system both recognizable and functional to bear the core value of the corporate.
It will be another successful example where the corporate and the designer refresh the public recognition of fun-loving hearts and creativity - Inspiration
- Rooted in and extended from the corporate’ s cultural connotation, the concept of home for fun loving hearts where joy is created integrates and balances the architectural form, spatial experiences, and factors including ventilation, lighting, We hope that the design can bring its users joyful spatial perception, spiritual inspiration, and sense of belonging to their workplace and life in general.
