About Mking Party K Ktv
Mking Party K is a karaoke venue interior located in Nanjing. The design is guided by the path of light and shadow. A doorway leads guests from the entrance into a series of unexpected scenes. Deformed walls create an impression of weightlessness. The ceiling is finished with water corrugated stainless steel, and its high reflectivity blurs the outlines of the space. An automatic hatch opens towards the hall and marks the change between areas. The intent is an immersive experience that invites exploration.
Mking Party K Ktv by Kuanxi Li represents a remarkable achievement in contemporary entertainment venue design, synthesizing parametric architectural language with immersive theatrical staging to create an environment that transcends conventional karaoke establishment aesthetics. The work emerges from a tradition of experiential interior design that prioritizes emotional impact and memorable spatial narrative, drawing upon the legacy of visionary nightlife environments while pushing toward distinctly futuristic territory. The technical sophistication evident in the execution reveals mastery of material specification, particularly in the seamless integration of horizontally ribbed metallic cladding that flows organically across walls and ceilings, creating continuous surfaces that blur conventional architectural boundaries between vertical and horizontal planes. The chromatic strategy demonstrates remarkable restraint within apparent extravagance, limiting the palette primarily to cool blues and warm reds while allowing the reflective metallic surfaces to multiply and modulate these hues through environmental reflection. The suspended orbital installations function simultaneously as practical lighting elements and sculptural focal points, their illuminated typographic rings suggesting planetary bodies complete with atmospheric bands, establishing a cosmic narrative framework that elevates the entertainment experience into realms of imagination and fantasy. The mirror-polished floor surface represents perhaps the most transformative design decision, converting the walking surface into an infinite reflection pool that psychologically dissolves the boundary between architecture and atmosphere. The single human figure silhouetted at the threshold serves compositionally as both scale reference and narrative invitation, suggesting the moment of arrival and discovery that defines the guest experience. One might observe how the designer has created a space that functions as total environment, where every surface participates in the creation of atmospheric mood. - The artificial space science fiction sense door leads people into a different dimension through time and space dark night. Mysterious, unknown, punk, digital, future... Numerous scenes that break the conventional world are constructed in a centralized overprint interweaving, which leads to a prosperous and intense urban carnival with a grand combination and unexpected fragments.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- Art is the soul of space, no matter it is fashionable or avant-garde, all the elements of space construction are to evoke the music symbol in people's heart. The opening of the automatic hatch to the hall also almost shifted another dimension on the axis of space. It was more like a starship floating in the night sky.

- The deformed walls bring the illusion of weightlessness, and the high reflectivity of the water corrugated stainless steel ceiling makes people fall into the blurred fantasy of a kaleidoscope, opening a new perspective to see the world. The distorted dynamic modeling and mechanical sense make both shape and shadow show extraordinary beauty, blurring the boundary between reality and illusion, attracting people to explore the hidden personality and beauty in silence.

- The origin of the world is matter, and the origin of matter is "objective existence". For a long time, Being has created and continues to create everything for matter, past, present and future.
The design develops the narrative guided by the path experience of light, so that light and shadow themselves form an interesting combination, and then opens the channel of sensory exploration in a mysterious way, but refuses to express directly, so as to form a fascinating immersive experience in a circuitous way. - Project Duration
- The project started in august 2021 in NANJING and finished in January 2022 in NANJING.
- Operation Flow
- The space material gives birth to a new art form through the objective physical phenomenon and the subject's creation emotion. It is a combination of rationality and sensibility, which is related to what people see, hear and feel in other places. In the interaction, instant scenes and different feelings are generated, thus strengthening the unknowability of space.

- In the post-epidemic era, the "Opening New Species in Cities" program will push a group of Mesozoic generations who are brave enough to challenge, dare to innovate and have a passion for life to the forefront. They keep pace with The Times and are not afraid of change, constantly exploring the shape of the future; They pay attention to thinking and try to create new possibilities through various objective existing phenomena...
