The translucent shoji door inserts serve as room dividers, lending an open feel to interior spaces while providing privacy when needed. LED light strips on the ceiling add a gentle glow to the simple, minimalist space, subtly enhancing it with a touch of warmth and humanistic atmosphere.
- Inspiration
- The large amounts of wood elements create a space of gentle and slow pace. Clear light enters through wooden grate and casts shadows of different shades, bringing a mellow Japanese ambience. The clearly defined layout boasts ample walking space. Light and shadows play a crucial role in shaping pathways, creating a harmonious way of living.
- Project Duration
- The project finished in September 2024 in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan.
- Operation Flow
- The entryway is defined by a dust room with deep gray stone-patterned flooring, featuring a recessed curved wall that forms a focal point. An uncluttered storage space creates a sense of relaxation and balance within the space. The visual simplicity has a soothing effect. The wood flooring leads the way to the living room. The TV wall painted with faux fair-faced concrete finishes, with a gentle curve flowing into the cabinet on one side, blurring boundaries between surfaces and creating a seamless visual flow.
