About Cibo Vita Office
Cibo Vita is an office interior design of 3200 square meters located in New Jersey. Natural wood, glass and living plants create a calm and healthy atmosphere. Pastel tones and acoustic panels support focus and comfort. The open layout connects flexible work areas with breakout zones for informal meetings. A lobby with a product trial island, made with a quartz countertop and metal framing, offers an interactive experience. An educational center supports collaboration and learning. Green walls, LED lighting and low VOC finishes reflect the aim of a sustainable and motivating workplace.
Arkiteam Architecture's Cibo Vita Office exemplifies the contemporary evolution of workplace design, wherein the traditional hierarchies of corporate environments yield to more democratic spatial configurations that honor both collaborative exchange and individual focus. The scheme demonstrates sophisticated understanding of chromatic psychology, deploying a warm Mediterranean palette of terracotta and natural timber against cooler passages of teal-tinted glass, creating zones that seem to offer different emotional temperatures suited to varied work modes. The curved glass meeting enclosure suggests the influence of pavilion architecture traditions, its transparency maintaining visual democracy while its enclosure promises acoustic refuge, a careful negotiation between openness and privacy that characterizes thoughtful contemporary workplace planning. Material selections reveal deliberate consideration of sensory experience: the terrazzo flooring with its warm aggregate inclusions connects to artisanal craft traditions while providing durability appropriate to commercial use, its organic edge treatment creating gentle wayfinding through the space. The intimate booth arrangement with its herringbone-paneled backdrop evokes hospitality environments, suggesting that contemporary workplaces increasingly borrow from the vocabularies of restaurants and lounges to create spaces where employees feel welcomed rather than merely accommodated. Lighting design achieves particular sophistication, with the sculptural curved linear pendant establishing spatial identity overhead while the paired globe sconces provide intimate task illumination that transforms the booth into a lantern-like refuge. The viewer might contemplate how such environments reshape our understanding of productive space, inviting consideration of whether the boundaries between work and leisure, formality and comfort, continue to dissolve in ways that honor human needs for variety, warmth, and moments of respite within the working day.
