About Longwell Vietnam Office Interior

Longwell Vietnam is an office interior created for a factory headquarters in Dong Nai, Vietnam. The project covers 2,000 square meters and turns an industrial setting into a human-centered workplace. Adaptive zoning provides quiet areas for focused work and multifunctional spaces for collaboration. A history wall and LED installations present the story of the company. Acoustic panels, low emission paints, recycled composites and sustainable wood finishes were used. The layout supports comfort, connection and daily engagement.

ADP Workplace's Longwell Vietnam Office Interior emerges from contemporary design traditions that recognize the workplace as a site of cultural expression and organizational identity communication, situating this interior intervention within broader conversations about how spatial environments embody corporate values while supporting human wellbeing and productive activity. The design demonstrates particular formal sophistication through its careful calibration of material warmth and industrial precision, the golden timber ceiling rafters providing biophilic connection and sensory warmth that tempers the cool geometric rigor of the fluted aluminum wall surfaces below, this material dialogue suggesting design thinking influenced by Scandinavian workplace humanization principles and contemporary Asian corporate design that balances efficiency with occupant comfort. The compositional achievement resides substantially in the rigorous horizontal stratification that creates clear spatial legibility, each material zone reading distinctly while contributing to overall environmental coherence, the rhythmic repetition of timber beams overhead establishing measured interval that organizes the ceiling plane into comprehensible increments while the embedded lighting generates functional illumination without visual clutter, the recessed placement creating a floating effect that adds spatial interest and suggests technical refinement. The chromatic accomplishment warrants particular attention, the restrained palette of amber wood, charcoal metal, and selective vermillion accent demonstrating sophisticated color strategy where saturation concentration focuses attention on branded communication elements while surrounding neutrality prevents visual fatigue in a space designed for extended occupation, the warm-cool temperature contrast between timber and aluminum creating visual dynamism that enlivens what might otherwise read as austere corporate minimalism. The incorporation of the historical timeline display as an integrated narrative band reflects growing recognition within workplace design that organizational heritage and evolutionary story contribute to employee identification and visitor comprehension, the chronological documentation becoming architectural element rather than applied graphic afterthought, this integration suggesting design thinking that understands environmental communication as operating across multiple registers simultaneously. The floor treatment with its diagonal striping demonstrates attention to wayfinding and spatial orientation, the bold graphic gesture providing directional suggestion while the contrasting materials prevent monotony across the large horizontal plane, while the polished surface quality contributes reflected luminosity that amplifies the lighting investment and creates sense of spatial openness. Technically, the precision evident in the fluting alignment, the consistent reveal between timber beams, the flush integration of lighting fixtures, and the crisp mounting of branding elements all speak to accomplished execution and rigorous construction administration, these seemingly modest details accumulating to create an overall impression of refinement and intentionality that distinguishes thoughtful design from merely functional construction. The design invites viewers to consider how contemporary workplace environments negotiate between corporate efficiency imperatives and human comfort needs, how material choices communicate organizational character, and how spatial sequences can embed narrative content that enriches occupant experience beyond pure functional accommodation, the overall effect suggesting that built environments at their best operate as three-dimensional communication media that shape experience while supporting activity.

Production Technology
The project was realized through evidence-based design and BIM coordination to ensure precision and efficiency. Modular planning and adaptive zoning were applied to optimize flexibility. Materials included acoustic partitions (NRC ≥ 0.75), low-VOC paints, high-performance fabrics, recycled composites, and sustainable wood finishes. Energy-efficient LED lighting and integrated HVAC systems were specified to enhance comfort and comply with international workplace standards.
Design Challenge
The main challenge lay in the factory’s remote location in Dau Giay Industrial Park, which required employees to travel long distances daily, raising concerns around engagement and retention. The design addressed this by converting a conventional factory office into a vibrant, community-oriented workplace that enhances connection, identity, and well-being through research-driven spatial planning.
Project Duration
The project started in October 2024 at Longwell Factory, located in Dau Giay Industrial Park, Đong Nai, Vietnam, and was completed in May 2025. Within a 2,000 sqm area, the design reimagines the factory headquarters as a human-centered workplace blending identity, well-being, and storytelling.
Operation Flow
Visitors enter through a welcoming lobby and pathway designed to spark curiosity before transitioning into a continuous corridor that narrates Longwell’s story. The layout encourages interaction and movement, with quiet areas supporting focused work and multifunctional spaces enabling collaboration. Social hubs, including the café and breakout zones, foster informal connections, helping employees stay engaged and energized throughout the workday.
Research
This project explores how workplace design can transform industrial environments into spaces of engagement and identity. Based on research into well-being, flexibility, and retention, the design reimagines the manufacturing office as a humanized space that nurtures connection and pride. Through adaptive zoning, storytelling features, and sustainable materials, the workplace achieves both precision and a sense of belonging reflecting the evolving nature of work in Southeast Asia’s industrial sector.
Inspiration
The inspiration stemmed from Longwell’s role as one of the largest manufacturing partners in Southeast Asia and the ambition to humanize the factory experience. The design draws from values of craftsmanship, precision, and progress interpreting three stripes as a symbol of movement and aspiration. With a focus on workplace well-being, spatial flow, and employee engagement, the concept results in an environment that motivates, connects, and inspires growth.
