About Gloria Ring, Armband

Gloria is 'n juwelekolleksie wat 'n ring en 'n armband insluit. Die ontwerp is geïnspireer deur die halo, 'n stralende ring wat kunstenaars om die koppe van heiliges skilder as 'n teken van deug. Die hoofskagte van die ring en die liggaam van die armband word met die hand uit draad gevorm. Die stene word ook met die hand gemaak van natuurlike materiale, sonder chemiese kleure of bygevoegde stowwe, sodat die stene na die natuur kan terugkeer. Die stukke kan afsonderlik of gekombineerd gedra word, sodat die vorm en die funksie verander kan word. Die doel is om die verheffing van die menslike gees in 'n draagbare voorwerp uit te druk.

Production Technology: The main shanks of the ring and the body of the bracelet are made by wire handforming and the stones’ materials are totally natural and environment friendly and in fact, no sort of chemical colors or substances has been used during the process of making.
Design Challenge: After searching in various features of natural materials, manifold techniques were tested to specify the optimal crafting method; so eventually a crafting process was selected out of sustainable and unique methods for making the stones of this collection.
Research: The design data of this collection and specially its stones, are garnered through information gathering and field & empirical studies.
Inspiration: (Gloria), In the dictionary it means halo, worshiping and praying of God the Almighty.The halo is a luminous ring which artists paint around the head of Saints or Mormons; this was used as the inspiration of the design.
Project Duration: This project started in 2017 and ended in 2019 after making the preliminary prototypes.
