About Umma Binnenshuise Buiteleunstoel
Of jy nou op soek is na 'n aanvulling tot 'n huisdekor, of bloot 'n stoel vir die buitelugruimte, die Umma-leunstoel is 'n keuse wat die omgewing kan transformeer. Die Umma-leunstoel het 'n struktuur wat gemaak is met aluminium, 'n 100 persent herwinbare materiaal, en nautiese tou as deklaag, terwyl die stoffering vulling en tegniese materiaal het, beide bestand teen water. Hierdie materiale laat die gemaklike gebruik van die Umma-leunstoel binne of buite toe, aangesien dit bestand is teen die weer. Umma Leunstoel se ontwerp het die moontlikheid om die hindernis van tyd te oorkom en bly vir baie jare.

- Production Technology
- The armchair frame is made of aluminium, a recyclable material, and nautical rope. The upholstery is tailored with technical fabrics for a comfortable experience. It is designed to be weather-resistant yet comfortable and attractive to provide a place to relax and entertain outdoors.
- Design Challenge
- The task of creating an aesthetically pleasing technical solution, while considering comfort, sustainability, and the ability to produce multiple items from a few basic elements, proved to be a great challenge. By altering the proportions of the project, a chair, armchair, stool, loveseat, and swing can all be produced.
- Research
- The goal of the project was to create a visually lightweight and sophisticated outdoor armchair, achieving the perfect aesthetic balance. To ensure durability and strength, aluminum structure was combined with nautical rope and technical fabric.
- Inspiration
- The search for an outdoor armchair that is light, sophisticated, and unique has culminated in the Umma Armchair. This chair brings a coastal, nautical ambiance to any space, perfect for relaxing in for some much deserved leisure time, both indoors and outdoors. Its cushions wrap you in a comforting embrace, transporting you to a peaceful, timeless haven by the shore.
- Project Duration
- This project started in november 2022 during Design Tank immersion and design competition in Bento Goncalves, RS, Brazil and now it is going to be produced by Sulvimes.
- Operation Flow
- The Umma Armchair is designed to bring both comfort and aesthetics. Its spacious, cushioned lines create a relaxing seating experience both indoors and outdoors. Its unique design makes it a piece of art, perfect for savoring the present moment and tranquil moment, reminiscent of a peaceful vacation by the shore.
