About The Ray ብሮሽ
ዘ ሬይ ደመናማ በሆነ ቀን ደመናዎችን ሰንጥቆ የሚወጣን የፀሐይ ጨረር በመነሳሳት የተሰራ ብሮሽ ነው። ቁርጥራጩ ጥቁር ሮዲየም የተለበጠ ብረት እና ጥቁር አልማዝ ስለሚጠቀም የብሮሹ መሠረታዊ ቀለም ጥቁር ነው። ደማቅ የከበሩ ድንጋዮች ከጥቁሩ መሠረት ጋር ተዳምረው መላውን ቁርጥራጭ ያደምቁታል። ዕንቁዎቹ ለስላሳ ብርሃን ይሰጣሉ፣ አልማዞቹ ደግሞ ከጥቁሩ ብረት አጠገብ ብልጭታ ይጨምራሉ። ብሮሹ ባለ ሦስት አቅጣጫዊ ዲጂታል ሞዴል ሆኖ የተሰራ ነው። ዘ ሬይ 50 በ30 በ17 ሚሊሜትር ይለካል።

- Unique Properties
- The base color of the brooch is dark since it's using black rhodium plated metal and a black diamond, but mixing with a bright gemstones brightens up the entire piece.

- Design Challenge
- The most challenging part of this piece was transforming the dark image into bright object, still containing the dark element.
- Research
- My research began first by observing the cloudy day and capture the moment of the ray that comes out from the cloud. After I understood the shape and movement of the light, I then researched how to incorporate and design a piece that is fine, and balanced. I researched everything using online resources.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration of the brooch comes from the ray of sunlight appearing through the clouds on a cloudy day. The luster of the pearls gives and extra soft glow and the sparkle of the diamonds stands out like a ray of sunlight next to dark metal and black diamonds.
- Project Duration
- The project was designed and completed in June 2022 in Milan, Italy
