«التفاحة المتنفّسة» عمل فني تركيبي يؤدي في الوقت ذاته وظيفة مقعد. يحافظ الشكل على الخطوط الخارجية للتفاحة، مع انبعاجات غير منتظمة توحي بجسدٍ أعادت الضغوط تشكيله. ويعبّر انخفاض السطح ثم عودته إلى وضعه عن فكرة التنفّس والانبعاث الداخلي. وقد خيطت القطعة يدويًا من بقايا الجلود التي تتخلص منها المصانع. وتخلق التباينات اللونية الطبيعية وخطوط الحياكة الظاهرة والحواف غير المشذّبة ملمسًا دافئًا وغنيًا باللمس. وتوجّه اعتبارات الإرغونوميا انحناءات العمل، بحيث يمكن عرضه بوصفه عملًا فنيًا أو استخدامه مقعدًا في الحياة اليومية.
