Design Challenge

Compared to its competitors, S80 is more intelligent, covers a broader audience, and can adapt to more scenarios. Users can authenticate their identity via fingerprint scanning and access their personalized interface, enjoying a massage experience tailored to each individual. S80 also employs AIM to dynamically learn and model the body data and massage preferences of users, offering a customized massage experience. Considering physiques of Asians, the rail curvature extends its length to 143cm.

Research

The services provided by traditional massage chairs are limited to a single, physical level. S80 is defined as A Fantastic Essential to Unlock Staycation, which can help users realize overall relaxation of body and mind. By virtue of the co-works of massage, aromatherapy, meditation music and voice guide, the project allows users to immerse themselves in an enjoyable professional massage service.

Inspiration

S80 is inspired by first class cabins of airplanes. The design team built on this inspiration adopted an elegant appearance and fresh colors, complemented by injection molded parts and leather, resulting in a sleek and sophisticated design. In addition, the team has incorporated pleasant fragrances, soft lighting, and transcendent music into the design, comprehensively fulfilling consumer desires for high quality and high performance.

Project Duration

S80 was developed in May 2021 in Shanghai, and launched in January 2023 in China.

Operation Flow

Boasting multiple massage programs and 15 massage techniques, S80 can detect multiple indexes of the user, and thus offer targeted massage in a way that knows users better. The folded tablet holder in the armrest, coupled with 2 HIFI speakers allows users to enjoy massage and entertainment simultaneously. Digital aromatherapy technology, featuring a database containing thousands of fragrances, enables fragrances to vary as the massage program changes, realizing digital control of fragrances.
