About The Mask That Ate The Virus Primary Function: Virusları Məhv Edən Maska
İsveçrənin Livinguard biotexnologiya şirkəti təkrar istifadə oluna bilən maskalar üçün toxumaya təmas anında bakteriyaları, göbələkləri və virusları (o cümlədən Covid 19) zərərsizləşdirən və məhv edən bir tekstil hazırlamışdır. Bu ideya qablaşdırmada canlandırılır: Maska steril paketlə təqdim olunur. Birləşdirilmiş plastik zolaq – yuxarı və aşağı sürüşdürüldükdə – bu proses zamanı yeyilən virusun qrafik təsvirini canlandırır və çətin günlərdə çox ehtiyac duyulan yumor əlavə edir. Ailə üzvləri arasında maskaların qarışdırılmasının, deməli çarpaz çirklənmənin qarşısını almaq üçün hər maskanı fərdiləşdirmək məqsədilə ayrıca zərfdə müxtəlif rəngli tənzimləmə qısqacları təqdim olunur.

- Design Challenge
- Finding the right materials and printing technology that would allow for a highly accurate production needed for the animation to work.
- Research
- To bring the virus-eliminating process to life in the packaging, we made use of a century old technique: Moiré Animation – creating an optical illusion of animated frames, with the graphic depiction of a virus getting 'eaten' in the process.
- Inspiration
- Swiss biotech company Livinguard developed a textile for reusable masks that inactivates bacteria, fungi, and viruses (incl. Covid 19) upon impact.
The product idea is brought to life in the packaging:
The mask comes in a sterile package. An attached plastic strip animates – when slid up and down – a virus that is getting eaten in the process, adding some urgently needed humor in desperate days. - Project Duration
- The product was launched in May 2020. Up to date 5 Million masks were produced. Market: China/Worldwide
- Operation Flow
- The task was to communicate a new, unique product advantage to the consumer via the packaging: that a simple textile can provide protection, every single day.
- Patents
- Livinguard patented, treated textile
