About Luminous Serenity Yaşayış Sahəsinin İnteryer Dizaynı
Luminous Serenity Tayvanın Kaohsiung şəhərində yerləşən yaşayış sahəsinin interyer dizaynıdır. Mənzil gənc tibb tələbəsi üçün sakit bir sığınacaq kimi yaradılmışdır. Dizayn vabi-sabi fəlsəfəsinə əsaslanır və daş, ağac və suvaq kimi təbii materiallardan istifadə edir. Gün işığı taxta jalüzlərdən daxil olur, beləliklə işıq və kölgə gün ərzində dəyişir. Tullantıları azaltmaq məqsədilə mövcud əsasın üzərinə ekoloji cəhətdən təmiz suvaqlar, axına gətirilmiş ağac, ağac qabığı şponu və tikişsiz döşəmə tətbiq edilmişdir. Minimal sökülmə orijinal planı qoruyub saxlayır, açıq mətbəx adası isə qonaq və yemək zonalarını birləşdirir.

Credits, team members and technical details provided by the designer.
- Unique Properties
- The design unfolds around three themes, Light and Shadow, Calm, and Return. Daylight flows through timber louvers like a living rhythm, while tactile materials such as stone, wood, and plaster form a grounded palette. The space becomes a vessel of healing, where light, texture, and emotion converge into a restorative narrative.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- Minimal demolition preserves the original layout while improving flow. An open kitchen island connects living and dining areas; the study integrates double-sided bookshelves for a medical library. Diverse lighting, pendants, track, and strips, allows flexible scenarios, enhancing comfort and resonance with daily life.

This mix of natural and sustainable finishes balances rawness with refinement, showcasing craftsmanship while supporting durability and environmental responsibility.
- Design Challenge
- The challenge lay in creating a sanctuary within a standard apartment while minimizing demolition. By layering textures, integrating sustainable materials, and orchestrating light as a dynamic element, the design transcends visual style, becoming a restorative environment that endures both emotionally and environmentally.
- Research
- The project investigates how wabi sabi aesthetics can be adapted to contemporary urban living. Through material reuse, low carbon processes, and nuanced light control, it explores a holistic balance between sustainability and emotional wellbeing, proposing a design model where aesthetics, ecology, and human needs align.
- Inspiration
- Inspired by the philosophy of wabi sabi, the residence transforms urban living into a meditative retreat. Stripping away excess and embracing natural elements, it was created as a sanctuary for the client’s daughter embarking on her medical studies, offering a place of calm, reflection, and emotional grounding.
- Project Duration
- The project, located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, was completed in November 2024 after an 8 month duration.
- Operation Flow
- Spatial fluidity fosters interaction: the kitchen island anchors gatherings, while open sightlines link the public zones. Each space, study, bedrooms, living areas, balances functionality with mood, encouraging wellbeing and meaningful daily rituals.
