Research

The portable lunch box turns the part of itself into a handle that is easy to carry, and can integrate multiple lunch boxes, greatly reducing the use of plastic bags for packing lunch boxes.

Inspiration

The catering industry is flourishing, and takeaway has become a necessity for modern people. At the same time, a lot of garbage has also been generated. Many of the lunch boxes used to hold food can be recycled, but the plastic bags used to pack the lunch boxes are indeed non-recyclable. In order to reduce the use of plastic bags, the functions of the lunch box and plastic are combined to design new lunch boxes.

Project Duration

The project started in January 2020 and finished in February 2020 in South China University of Technology.

Operation Flow

After putting the meal in place, close the lid, tear along the dotted lines on the sides of the lunch box to form a handle, pack and fix the rest of the lunch box and take it away.
