The app will record the shelf life of food and distinguish the food with different shelf life in the refrigerator through green, yellow and red prompt boxes to avoid food discarding. In addition, the app provides weekly wasted food reports and cumulative statistics to educate users about sustainable consumption and reducing food discarding.

Дызайнерскі выклік: When this app is fully technically feasible, the only challenge is how to call on more people to use this app. We use visual graphics with a sense of design and differentiated prompt boxes to remind users. To be sure, the more people use this app, the less food will be wasted.
Даследаванне: With the development of material conditions, people used to overbuying food and forget the them in the refrigerator, resulting in a huge discarding of food. Based on this huge social problem, several extensive interviews was conducted with Chinese community residents, surveying their shopping and food storage in their refrigerators. After many discussions and user interviews with students majoring in design at Zhejiang University, the app was finally designed to skillfully educate users about sustainable consumption and reducing food discarding.
Натхненне: It is estimated that a third of all food produced each year, equivalent to 1.3 billion tons of food worth about 1 trillion U.S. dollars, ends up rotting in consumer and retailer trash bins or spoiled by improper transportation and harvesting.Sadly, people get in the habit of buying too much aliment, or forgetting to eat it before its sell-by date, leading to huge aliment discarding.
Працягласць праекта: This project started in January 2022 in Hangzhou, China, and it is still under developing.
