About Molten High Многоетажна жилищна сграда

Molten High е многоетажна жилищна сграда, разположена в горещ и сух град в Индия, където грънчарството е традиционен занаят. Дизайнът напомня глинен съд, деформиран по време на изработката и след това изпечен. Параметрична обвивка покрива стълбището в югозападната част на сградата и осигурява филтрирана светлина и вентилация на стълбите, създавайки контраст с простата подредба на прозорци и балкони. Разтопеният вид на фасадата е постигнат с изработени по поръчка ребра от рециклирана пластмаса. Сградата има план с размери 20 на 4 метра и достига височина от 50 метра.

Unique Properties: A parametric skin on the southwest staircase to bring in filtered light and ventilation as a contrasting character to the simple and refined array of window and balconies.
Dimensions & Packaging: The building is 20M X 4M X 50M Height.

Production Technology: Custom made Recycled plastic ribs to for the molten look of the facade.
Design Challenge: The traditional profession of the locality was pottery which needed to be interpreted and magnified to an international podium.
Research: The site context was studied to come up with the concept of the design. The pottery art of this town was to be highlighted in a modern contemporary manner to communicate to the international audience.
Inspiration: The Residential Building is in the city of a hot and dry Tier 2 Town of India where pottery used to be a traditional profession. Molten High is an expression of a clay container being deformed while in its making and eventually baked to form an artistic expression of the traditional profession of the town.,
Project Duration: The project is under construction at site. The design phase started in July 2020 and was delivered by Jan 2021
Operation Flow: the staircase has been designed with an external skin to allow light and ventilation into the staircase.
