স্টেরিলাইজড ব্যান্ড-এইড হলো একটি আঠালো ক্ষত ড্রেসিং, যা একটিমাত্র পণ্যে জীবাণুমুক্তকরণ ও ক্ষত ঢেকে রাখার কাজ একসঙ্গে সম্পন্ন করে। প্রতিটি প্লাস্টার আলাদাভাবে প্যাকেটজাত করা হয়, যার সঙ্গে থাকে সিলবন্ধ অংশে রাখা মেডিকেল আয়োডিন দ্রবণ এবং প্যাকেটের গায়ে ছাপানো ব্যবহারবিধি। প্যাকেটটি খুলে ভাঁজ করলে জীবাণুনাশক দ্রবণটি চেপে ক্ষতের উপর প্রয়োগ করা যায়, এরপর ড্রেসিংটি বের করে ক্ষতস্থানে লাগানো হয়। এতে মেডিকেল শোষক তুলা ও পচনশীল (বায়োডিগ্রেডেবল) কাগজ ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, যা খরচ কম রাখে এবং উৎপাদন প্রক্রিয়াকে সহজ করে তোলে। এই নকশাটি ক্ষত পরিষ্কার না করেই ঢেকে ফেলার কারণে সৃষ্ট সংক্রমণের ঝুঁকি হ্রাস করে।
