While many Japanese financial apps previously featured crowded screens with numerous functions and ads, our research of 1,300 users revealed that only a limited number of functions were actually being used. To prevent users from overlooking valuable information due to information overload, we proposed a simple design philosophy and an app UX that allows users to customize information and functions as needed.
