About Spoon Prova d'embaràs

Spoon és una prova d'embaràs d'un sol ús dissenyada per a l'ús domèstic. La forma s'inspira en una cullera, amb petites formes suaus i una superfície més ampla a la zona del mànec. Totes les vores són arrodonides per donar un aspecte amable, ja que la prova s'utilitza en un moment privat i emotiu. La zona d'agafada està inclinada i eixamplada per millorar l'ergonomia i afavorir un ús intuïtiu. Spoon mesura 130 x 25 x 10 mil·límetres i pesa 14 grams. El cos està fet de bioplàstic injectat per reduir la petjada de carboni, i el gruix de cada component està calibrat per estalviar material.

Unique Properties: Design of this product started in the analysis of the moment of use. This is a single use product, meant to be used in a very intimate, precious, emotional moment of a woman's life. Therefore all shapes have been softened and rounded in order to have a friendly look and grip area has been tilted and expanded for a better ergonomics.

Production Technology: Spoon is made with injected bioplastic, in order to reduce carbon footprint.
Thicknesses of the components has been calibrated in order to save material.
Design Challenge: The wider and tilted grip area required more complex geometry. Main challenge has been to design those shapes being sure that injected plastic pieces were going to match each other perfectly with very little tolerances
Research: Project started with a detailed market research, supported by a research on materials and production techniques.
User interaction and emotions are key factor in this project, therefore shape had to be friendly and comfortable.
Inspiration: Shapes and name of this project take inspiration by the spoon. Small soft shapes with a wider surface for the handle area.
Friendly, reliable and easy to use, this is how a pregnancy test should look like.
Project Duration: Project started in July 2019 and has been launched on the market in January 2020
Operation Flow: The soft shapes and the wider grip area makes ergonomics very easy and interaction with the product is very intuitive.
