About Molten High Edifici Residencial de Diverses Plantes
Molten High és un edifici residencial de diverses plantes situat en una població càlida i seca de l'Índia on la ceràmica era un ofici tradicional. El disseny recorda un recipient d'argila deformat durant la seva elaboració i posteriorment cuit. Una pell paramètrica cobreix l'escala de la façana sud-oest i aporta llum filtrada i ventilació a l'escala, formant un contrast amb la senzilla disposició en sèrie de finestres i balcons. L'aparença fosa de la façana es crea amb nervis de plàstic reciclat fabricats a mida. L'edifici té unes dimensions en planta de 20 per 4 metres i s'eleva fins a una alçada de 50 metres.

- A parametric skin on the southwest staircase to bring in filtered light and ventilation as a contrasting character to the simple and refined array of window and balconies.

- The traditional profession of the locality was pottery which needed to be interpreted and magnified to an international podium.
- Research
- The site context was studied to come up with the concept of the design. The pottery art of this town was to be highlighted in a modern contemporary manner to communicate to the international audience.
- Inspiration
- The Residential Building is in the city of a hot and dry Tier 2 Town of India where pottery used to be a traditional profession. Molten High is an expression of a clay container being deformed while in its making and eventually baked to form an artistic expression of the traditional profession of the town.,
- Project Duration
- The project is under construction at site. The design phase started in July 2020 and was delivered by Jan 2021

- the staircase has been designed with an external skin to allow light and ventilation into the staircase.
