Book Text: Dragon és un interior de restaurant situat dins d'un edifici d'oficines de tecnologia financera a Pequín. El disseny abasta 2.500 metres quadrats i busca una atmosfera de calma basada en elements naturals. Un dels reptes principals era que el 80 per cent de l'espai per menjar es troba sota terra i no rep llum natural. Per això, la natura se simula. Una cascada i un estany es formen amb formigó fos mitjançant tecnologia digital, i uns aneguets de coure semblen nedar sobre la superfície. Els menjadors privats evoquen la forma d'una vall, amb plantes i estacions, i la llum simulada dona suport a aquestes zones tancades.

Unique Properties: The Dragon Restaurant is located in the Financial Tech office building. A relaxing restaurant atmosphere with natural elements is sought. One of challenges is that 80% of the dining space is located underground and therefore there is no natural light. There is a balance between Financial Tech and nature.

Research: cast concrete. simulated natural light
Inspiration: Nature is simulated: one by casting a "waterfall" and "pool" via digital tech. Some copper ducklings even "swim" on this cast installation. Because of the long cold winters, outdoor-waterscapes are not suitable in Beijing, but people love water features. Another simulation is to imitate the shape of a valley and various plants and different seasons in the private dining rooms which are without windows and natural light.

Operation Flow: Even though it is underground, people like its environment and feel good because of the simulation of light and the nature.
