About Existence Cadira

Existence és una cadira dissenyada per pensar. La cadira es tracta com una peça d'arquitectura que defineix una vora i deixa espai perquè la ment l'ompli. S'han fabricat dos prototips en acer inoxidable. Seure a Existence requereix atenció i esforç muscular, de manera que la cadira limita la comoditat física per alliberar la ment. Cada cadira fa 1000 mm d'amplada, 800 mm de profunditat i 600 mm d'alçada. Els prototips es van modelar a mà, i es van ajustar diferents tècniques per assolir una precisió exacta.

Unique Properties: Existence chair is a chair for thinking, a piece of architecture defines the edge and leaves space for the mind to fill. There are a pair of prototypes made of stainless steel. The sitting experience requires attention and muscles to participate in. Limiting comfort sets the mind free.

Production Technology: The chair is made of stainless steel.
Design Challenge: Thinking about how to control the uncertainty of handmade, I have a strong passion for adjusting different techniques and getting the exact accuracy.
Research: Collecting Inspirations from myself, Starting with sketching, Making small scale mockups and deciding the design direction, Making real scale prototypes and adjusting design.
Inspiration: I think, therefore I am. Instead of designing a chair for physical comfort, I look for a chair reflecting me and the existence of my mind.
Project Duration: The project started in May 2019 in California and finished production in January 2021 in China.
Operation Flow: The Existence is to sit with people's attention and set their minds free.
