About Erhu Cadira

Erhu és una cadira inspirada en l'erhu, un instrument tradicional xinès de corda. El disseny utilitza la cultura nacional com a llenguatge del mobiliari modern i explora un estil xinès contemporani. L'estructura és senzilla, amb només dues parts: la superfície del seient i les potes. El respatller, la superfície del seient i la pota davantera formen una sola peça de contraplacat corbat, premsada en un motlle prefabricat. La superfície està enxapada amb fusta de freixe i noguera, i les potes són de noguera. La forma de la pota posterior recorda la pota en forma de peülla del mobiliari d'estil Ming. Les corbes segueixen el cos humà.

Unique Properties: Inspired by Erhu, a traditional Chinese classical instrument, the design incorporated national culture as a language of modern furniture, exploring a new style of contemporary Chinese furniture.
The structure is so simple that there are only two parts: seat surface and legs. The chair back, seat surface and front leg are made of curved plywood as a whole, and the three dimensional seating space is completed with two dimensional curves fitting the shape of the human body.

Production Technology: The integrated shape of the seat surface, chair back and front leg is completed by pressing the curved plywood in a premade mold.
The surface used ash wood and walnut for veneering. The legs are made of walnut.
