About Formation 01 Aixeta de bany
Formation 01 és una aixeta de bany d'edició limitada. El disseny combina una forma escultòrica amb enginyeria avançada i està fabricada amb Neolast, un material compost que permet una textura inesperada i un color ric i saturat. Els angles impactants i un acabat atrevit en Taronja Hàptic s'allunyen de les expectatives tradicionals per a una aixeta. Un conducte d'aigua intern imprès en 3D crea un flux d'aigua en làmina. Una placa embellidora de ferro colat en relleu fa referència a una llarga història d'innovació en materials. L'aixeta fa 300 mm d'amplada, 207 mm de profunditat i 135 mm d'alçada.

The Kohler x SR_A collaboration embraces Samuel’s avant-garde artistic approach while honoring Kohler’s 150-year legacy of innovation and craftsmanship in the development of a new design language for water solutions. - To realize Samuel Ross’ creative vision, Kohler invited him to explore an advanced new composite material that offers boundless form, unexpected texture, and rich, saturated colors. A 3D-printed internal waterway was developed to accomplish the unique sheet flow effect. An embossed cast iron escutcheon plate celebrates our collaboration in an homage to Kohler’s history of material innovation.
- Inspiration
- Combining dynamic gesture with advanced engineering, Formation 01 takes a familiar object and reimagines it as a functional sculpture in Kohler's dynamic Neolast composite material.
- Project Duration
- This project was initiated in late 2022 with collaboration between Kohler and SR_A's studios in the US and UK, respectively. The project launched at Design:Miami in 2023.
