Dot Sofia és un edifici d'ús mixt per a esdeveniments i vida urbana a Sofia, Bulgària. L'estructura de dos volums acull un espai d'art contemporani i esdeveniments, un restaurant emblemàtic i unitats residencials. Dot Sofia s'alça al districte històric del mercat, una zona vinculada des de fa temps al comerç i descuidada durant les darreres dècades. La façana és d'acer oxidat i evoca la materialitat envellida del barri. Persianes de grans dimensions s'obren i es tanquen, seguint el ritme de la vida del mercat. L'edifici es va completar el 2023 i té una superfície bruta de 1576 metres quadrats.

- Unique Properties
- Embedded in the urban complexity of the biggest street market in Sofia the simple two volume structure of DOT Sofia building manifests unexpected different faces and scales from the possible viewpoints. The hybrid program of intertwined contemporary art and events space; signature restaurant and design urban living are injected in the rather neglected historic heart of the city with the clear ambition to redirect its inevitable transformation. The rusted steel facade preserves the characteristic aged materiality of the area while the dynamics of the oversized shutters follow the rhythm of the market life.

Neglected for the past decades, it is now evolving into a multi-cultural melting pot. DOT Sofia aims to contribute to the rediscovery and evolution of this still hidden urban cultural area.
