About The Board Skateboard

Ang The Board usa ka mapilo nga skateboard nga gidisenyo para sa sayon nga pagdala ug pagtipig. Ang deck hinimo gikan sa 57 ka nagsumpay-sumpay nga pivot hinges. Pinaagi sa pagpilo sa mga bisagra sa usa ka direksyon o sa lain, ang klasikong porma sa cruiser mausab ngadto sa usa ka hingpit nga lingin. Sa lingin nga porma, ang The Board mahaom sa usa ka backpack ug mahimong tipigan sa sigpit nga mga lugar o ipasundayag isip usa ka dekorasyon sa balay. Unique Properties: The skateboard is limited by its appearance and it is inconvenient for users to carry.
The Board has a strong visual appeal of its transforming process. The structure makes it a completed circle which can be put in a backpack easily. Because of the circular appearance, it can be part of decorations at home or even place in the narrow space.

Design Challenge: Biggest challenges was manufacturing its complex dynamic structure and is considering open-sourcing the design as a DIY kit for 3D printers.
Research: Transformation is not just the change in appearance, but also the consideration of factors such as space, time, and circumstance to strengthen the purpose of transformation and the psychological level. In today’s product design, in order to make transformable products satisfy the users’ need, the designers usually introduce the transformable features to make them easy to carry and multifunctional simultaneously.
Inspiration: Most of the users have the stereotype in the usage of the products. If we get rid of the general form changing, there will be a different scenario for the users. The form changing process gives the users visual feeling and the intensity of it will be different depend on the various structures.
Project Duration: The design start in 2018 finish in 2019 July.
Operation Flow: The skateboard is made from 57 interlocking pivot hinges, by folding the hinges one direction or the other, transforming the classic cruiser shape into a perfect circle. Easy to fit in smaller places and even used for decoration.
