The foaming mold of the steering wheel body was modified three times, and the color gradient fabric was modified three times. In addition, the surface material was hand-wrapped, and it was difficult to maintain the surface flatness. Quality control was the key.

- Using NX to create design models and then using resin 3D printing to verify feasibility, the use of resin materials results in significant dimensional errors, leading to longer mold modification times during the product trial production phase. For the development of color gradient fabrics, due to the high requirement for fabric extensibility for surface covering, the initial color displayed by the fabric is darker. Adjusting the fabric texture scheme can effectively reduce the color depth.
- Inspirasyon
- The traditional circular steering wheel allows both hands to move freely, it‘s easy to get the hands mixed up after turning and returning, while a half-spoke steering wheel can cause the other hand to grab the air when turning and turning back, so we aimed to build a steering wheel that avoids both problems. On the other hand, the inspiration for using color gradient fabrics comes from the paintings of Van Gogh, and we hope to create a product that balances aesthetics and practicality.
