A Sedia Swing hè una sedia ispirata da l'altalena. U disignu risponde à u muvimentu di u corpu è crea un'interazzione dinamica per u relassamentu è u ghjocu. U sedile è u spalliera sò flessibili è regolabili, dunque seguitanu e pusizione di pusata è i muvimenti preferiti di l'utilizatore. L'angulu trà u sedile è a spalliera pò cambià da 120 à 133 gradi. A struttura hè un cubu di 61x61x61 centimetri. U legnu di rovere hè utilizatu per u tilaghju, u cumpiegnu per u sedile è a spalliera, è a corda di cotone per e parte chì s'altalenanu. A corda ruvida crea una frizzione cù u legnu, chì mantene u muvimentu cuntrullatu è sicuru.

Unique Properties: Inspired by the swing, this chair aims to respond with human body movements and create a dynamic interaction with the users - for them to relax and play. The seat and backrest are flexible and adjustable in a way that they are able to follow users’ preferred sitting positions and their movements while sitting. It also has a minimal structure: seat and backrest supported by a simple frame (61x61x61cm), giving the seat floating and chair lightweight.
Dimensions & Packaging: The chair is in a "perfect cube" structure: 61x61x61cm.

Production Technology: The material here I used Oak wood for the structure, plywood for the seat and backrest, cotton cord for the swing, and rubber screw to connect the backrest.
Design Challenge: The hardest part of this design is to control the level of movement, which is affected by the design as well as the material. Allowing too much movement would cause a user to fall off the chair. The thick cotton cord has rough texture and thus create good friction with the wood, in this way, it allows the seat to still create movements but in a controlled and safe way.
Inspiration: This chair is inspired by the swing. I want to incorporate the playfulness and movement of swing into a chair which is normally considered to have a fixed angle between seat and backrest.
Project Duration: This project is completed in Copenhagen in 2017; the duration of design and production took around 2 months.
Operation Flow: Both the seat and backrest are adjustable based on user's movement. The angle between the seat and backrest could be adjusted from 120 to 133 degree (please see the image above).
