About Dragon Primary Function: Návrh interiéru restaurace

Book Text: Dragon je interiér restaurace umístěný v kancelářské budově finančně-technologické společnosti v Pekingu. Návrh zahrnuje 2500 metrů čtverečních a usiluje o klidnou atmosféru založenou na přírodních prvcích. Hlavní výzvou bylo, že 80 procent jídelního prostoru se nachází pod zemí a nedostává se mu přirozeného světla. Příroda je proto simulována. Vodopád a jezírko jsou vytvořeny z litého betonu pomocí digitální technologie a na hladině jako by plavaly měděné kachničky. Soukromé jídelny připomínají tvar údolí, s rostlinami a ročními obdobími, a simulované světlo tyto uzavřené prostory podporuje.

Unique Properties: The Dragon Restaurant is located in the Financial Tech office building. A relaxing restaurant atmosphere with natural elements is sought. One of challenges is that 80% of the dining space is located underground and therefore there is no natural light. There is a balance between Financial Tech and nature.

Research: cast concrete. simulated natural light
Inspiration: Nature is simulated: one by casting a "waterfall" and "pool" via digital tech. Some copper ducklings even "swim" on this cast installation. Because of the long cold winters, outdoor-waterscapes are not suitable in Beijing, but people love water features. Another simulation is to imitate the shape of a valley and various plants and different seasons in the private dining rooms which are without windows and natural light.

Operation Flow: Even though it is underground, people like its environment and feel good because of the simulation of light and the nature.
