About Parachute Nástěnná police

Parachute je nástěnná police vyrobená z plechu. Když je některá sekce používána, deska této sekce se sklopí dolů a zůstane viset na místě. Visící deska udrží kabát, časopis nebo podobné předměty a zabrání jejich pádu. Povrch nese barevné pruhy oddělené úzkými mezerami, takže police připomíná grafický vzhled moderního padáku a lze ji vnímat také jako nástěnné umělecké dílo. Parachute měří 790 mm na šířku, 30 mm na hloubku a 220 mm na výšku. Název spojuje myšlenky ochrany a pádu.

Production Technology: Parachute was made by sheet metal.
With the colored stripes separated by thin spaces, the graphic design is reminiscent of a modern parachute; this theme is transformed, in a recognisable and aesthetically successful manner, into an original shelf design.
Design Challenge: Yusuke Watanabe designed a new type of wall shelf, looks like Wall Art.

Yusuke Watanabe was worried about color of gradation, Through trial and error we found best ways. looks like Wall Art.
Inspiration: When listening to Coldplay's first album, it suddenly occurred to me to look up the word "Parachute."

It seems that the name "parachute" comes combining the Italian "parare" (to protect) with the French "chute" (to fall).

I thought that was a rather fine name.
I tried to think of devices that protect against falling.

Project Duration: The project started in April 2017 in Tokyo and finished in October 2018 in Tokyo, and Yusuke Watanabe was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in April 2018.
