About B&B Italia Autosalon nábytku
B&B Italia je showroom nábytku o rozloze 540 metrů čtverečních, umístěný v přízemí komerční budovy s výhledem do ulice. Návrh se odklání od konvenčních formátů showroomů a spojuje budovu, krajinu a interiér do jednoho souvislého prostoru. Geometrické struktury, skleněná fasáda a zahrada zjemňují hranici mezi objekty a budovou. Interiér vyzařuje silný smysl pro objem a čisté linie. Průsvitné, polootevřené příčky vytvářejí hloubku, usměrňují pohyb prostorem a přivádějí do zorného pole venkovní scenérii a denní světlo.

- Unique Properties
- The key of the design was how to echo the core values of the brand and convey it in a more intimate and understandable manner in Chinese market. The design abandons conventional showroom modes from the perspectives of building, landscape and interior, and achieves the unity and continuity of the space. The subtle integration of geometric structures, glass curtain wall and garden breaks the boundary between objects and the building, forming a natural, orderly setting.

- Production Technology
- The interior space shows a strong sense of volume and clean lines. The translucent semi-open partitions enable the transition of space, and create continuity of visual experience and a sense of depth. The stacking and interweaving relationship of surfaces and blocks guides the circulation in an implicit manner, and brings in outdoor landscape and daylight to the greatest extent within visitors' field of vision. In this way, the interior space becomes a dynamic entity.
- Design Challenge
- The project sits on the ground floor of a commercial building facing the street. The monotonous large steps at the entrance were transformed into a combination of interlacing structures, which are matched with glass curtain walls and distinctive garden landscape, thereby eliminating the boundary between the building and objects and maximizing the display surface for the showroom.
- Research
- The relationship between products and space takes full consideration into both functional and emotional aspects. In this interactive, immersive space, commercial logic is upgraded to the communication of brand culture and aesthetics. The stacked and interweaving surfaces and blocks brings in outdoor landscape and daylight to the greatest extent within visitors' field of vision, and form a garden-like showroom that responds to green design ideas.
- Inspiration
- B&B Italia interprets modern civilization with products highly sensitive to life. The design is ultimately an "annotation" to life. The spatial structures of the showroom are simple and coherent, forming a naturally-regulated garden together with sunshine, breeze, textures and ambience. The displayed furniture in the "garden" grows like flowers and grass.
