Centauri Carbon je plně uzavřená stolní 3D tiskárna určená pro domácí použití. Tiskárna využívá technologii fused deposition modelling s pohybovým systémem CoreXY a rámem z tlakového odlitku, který zajišťuje stabilní tisk při vysoké rychlosti. Přesnost podporuje 121bodový systém automatického vyrovnávání a mosazná tryska s vysokou tepelnou vodivostí. Dvojité skleněné panely umožňují sledovat tiskový prostor a ovládání zajišťuje 4,3palcová barevná dotyková obrazovka. To address this, engineers conducted multiple testing rounds to fine-tune the solution. In the CMF phase, the focus shifted to creating distinct color options to stand out in a crowded market. Throughout mass production, factors like material defects and supplier issues required quick adjustments to ensure smooth production.
Výzkum: Employing user surveys, user interviews, and user portrait analysis, the research identified four priorities shaping home users’ purchasing decisions: safety, performance, ease of use, and energy efficiency. In response, the design incorporates a fully enclosed chamber, CoreXY kinematics, high-torque motors, and intelligent sensing. These refinements not only elevate print quality but also simplify operation, aligning technological sophistication with broader accessibility.
Inspirace: Centauri Carbon embodies Elegoo’s ongoing vision to bring 3D printing into every home. By leveraging user behavior insights, our team has redefined the common open-frame FDM design, introducing a fully enclosed structure with dual glass panels, high-precision CoreXY kinematics, and a built-in chamber camera. This state-of-the-art machine blends futuristic aesthetics with practicality, delivering a secure, high-performance 3D printing experience, especially for families with children or pets.
Doba trvání projektu: The development of the Centauri Carbon began in August 2023 and was completed in October 2024 in China. It was unveiled at the Rapid+TCT Exhibition in June 2024 and officially launched in February 2025.
