Deng Yun Li Art Park je veřejný park o rozloze 40 000 metrů čtverečních v čínském Su-čou. Návrh čerpá z přírodních scenérií a kulturního dědictví regionu. Tekoucí vodní prvky a sochařské kameny připomínají místní kanálovou krajinu v moderním komerčním prostředí. Interaktivní vodní kanál vede návštěvníky od vstupu k centrálnímu náměstí, kde se ze země zvedá třídílná vodní socha jako ústřední umělecké dílo. Malá umělecká galerie a čajová zóna tvoří klidnější prostor pro odpočinek.

Unique Properties: DengYunLi Art Park draws inspiration from Suzhou’s natural scenery and cultural heritage. Using flowing water features and sculptural stones, the park evokes the region’s canal landscapes while offering a contemporary urban retreat. Visitors are guided by an interactive water canal from the entrance to the central plaza, where a three-part water sculpture rises from the ground as a focal art piece. In the quieter zone, a small art gallery and tea area provide a tranquil space for relaxation.

Research: We did a series of case studies to find out the design elements that create a successful mixed-use project.
Inspiration: Inspired by the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Suzhou, DengYunLi Art Park reinterprets the city’s iconic canals through a series of water features and sunken courts. The landscape layout echoes the ancient urban fabric of Suzhou, creating layered experiences of visibility and concealment. As visitors walk through the park, views are constantly shifting, sometimes revealed, sometimes hidden, mirroring the poetic rhythm of Suzhou’s old alleyways and waterways.
