About The Z Shaped Creation Adeilad Preswyl
Mae'r Creadigaeth Siâp Z yn adeilad preswyl bioclimatig yn Fasoula, Cyprus. Mae'r ffurf wen ar siâp Z yn diffinio morffoleg yr adeilad. Trefnir y gofodau mewnol fel cyfeintiau wedi'u gosod i mewn i geudodau'r ffurf wen. Mae'r dyluniad yn dilyn geometregau syml mewn dull minimalaidd, gyda choncrit noeth, arwynebau pren mawr a lliw gwyn niwtral. Mae'r tŷ yn ymestyn dros 230 metr sgwâr ar draws tri lefel, un islawr a dau lawr uwchben. Gosodir yr islawr i mewn i'r llethr, yn cynnwys y mannau parcio ac fe'i hadeiladwyd gyda gwaith maen carreg.

Behind the Design

Credits, team members and technical details provided by the designer.
- Unique Properties
- A bioclimatic house in Fasoula, where the creation of a white Z shaped form, characterizes the morphology of the building. The spaces were translated in volumes which created a composition that was placed into the cavities of this white form. The design is moved by simple geometries touching the modern minimalistic trends, which led to the use of exposed concrete, large wooden surfaces and the use of the neutral white color.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- A 230 sqm house, built in 3 levels, one basement and 2 stories above.
- Tags
- bioclimatic house, residential building, environmental design
- Production Technology
- Concrete based structural system.
- Design Challenge
- The integration of bioclimatic methods into the development of the design, combined with the need of an operational building, was the main creative challenge of our design.
- Research
- Through our design, we wanted to investigate whether the integration of bioclimatic methods into the development of the design, could result a harmonious, functional composition.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration that triggered the design of this bioclimatic solar house in Fasoula, Cyprus, was the will to create a white Z shaped form, that was going to characterize the morphology of the building.
- Project Duration
- The design started in 2017, and the construction in 2019. The project was completed in 2020.
- Operation Flow
- A minimalistic three-level house, placed in a slope, with the parking spaces made in the earth, as a basement. This was built with stone masonry, willing to highlight the relationship between the building and the environment and to create a solid morphological base for the development of the design, which is moved by simple geometries touching the modern minimalist trends.
