About Satoro Ffotograffiaeth Lloeren

Mae Satoro yn gyfres o ffotograffau o loeren fach, a gynhyrchwyd ar gyfer RedPeak. Tynnwyd y delweddau cyn i'r lloeren gael ei anfon i'r orbit, mewn maes lle mae delweddau digidol wedi'u rendro yn gyffredin. Mae cefndiroedd gwyn yn dangos manylion cywrain y dyluniad, tra bod y fframio yn rhoi ymdeimlad o bwysau a phresenoldeb. Mae'r cyfansoddiadau'n amrywio o luniau agos o rannau bach i olygfeydd ongl-lydan o'r uned gyflawn. Mae cyferbyniadau golau a chysgod yn datgelu'r patrymau ar yr wynebau metel adlewyrchol. Gwnaed y ffotograffau dros ddau ddiwrnod yn Taipei ar gyfer defnydd digidol ac argraffu.

Production Technology
Equipped with a powerful Nikon D850 camera and two lenses: a Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 and a Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8, and aided by the advanced lighting capabilities of the Profoto Pro-11 with ProHead Plus, this unique photographic experiment captures the stunning contrast and interplay of light and shadow surrounding the satellite.
Design Challenge
To reveal the satellite’s technical marvel while facing the constraints of working with an invaluable piece of technology. The precious nature of the technology, combined with various types of reflective materials, presented challenges when lighting the surfaces. How might the team highlight the intricate technical details of a “not-an-everyday" object from various perspectives?
Research
The photographs reveal the raw and captivating intricacies of the satellite and its patterns as light dances across its gleaming metal surfaces. In this way, this project spotlights the incredible feats of technology humanity is capable of and demystifies the mysteries of space.
Inspiration
In a field dominated by digital renderings, RedPeak and Satoro wanted to capture the ephemeral essence of a small sat before its final destination in orbit. Inspired by the potential of small sats to redefine possibilities in space, the photographs play with contrasts in lighting, and proportions, spotlighting the possibilities of this small yet empowering technology.
