About Paper and Wood Prif Swyddogaeth: Bwth Arddangos
Testun y Llyfr: Mae bwth Crecia yn ymgorffori cynaliadwyedd gyda chysyniad papur a phren, gan sicrhau bod pob deunydd yn cael ei ailddefnyddio neu ei ailgylchu. Mae'n tynnu sylw at rôl pren mewn bywyd bob dydd ac ymrwymiad Crecia i leihau gwastraff. Yn cynnwys pibellau pren tenau o Hokkaido a lloriau di-offer, mae'r strwythur yn ailddiffinio dyluniad arddangos cynaliadwy. Mae gosodiad papur 75m yn arddangos papur toiled rholiau hir Crecia, tra bod ralïau stamp sy'n defnyddio deunyddiau dros ben yn hyrwyddo ailgylchu. Mae'r fenter hon yn lleihau gwastraff i'r eithaf ac yn ysbrydoli cynaliadwyedd ar draws y diwydiant.

- Production Technology
- Crecia's toilet paper is three times longer than traditional rolls, visually represented by incorporating approximately 75 meters of paper into the upper construction to showcase this feature. Additionally, three types of plywood are randomly combined to emphasize the natural beauty of wood tones and textures. The wooden structures are designed with disassembly in mind, using screws only for fixation, and puzzle-like shapes enable easy installation of wooden flooring without the need for tools.
- Design Challenge
- When creating booths using only "paper and wood," the most challenging aspect was the booth's structure. Through trial and error, we replaced metal pipes commonly used in construction scaffolding with wooden pipes. These wooden pipes are made from thinned-out Todomatsu (Hokkaido fir), significantly contributing to regional forestry promotion. This design not only enhances the quality and uniqueness of the design but also contributes to solving and developing forestry challenges.
- Research
- Conventionally, exhibitions have generated substantial waste, but Crecia's initiative has garnered attention for waste reduction in the exhibition industry, ushering in a new concept. Designs using only wood and paper, both recyclable, enhance exhibition sustainability, leading to economic benefits from reduced waste disposal costs. Moreover, this new concept has influenced other exhibitors and the entire industry, promoting the adoption of sustainable exhibition practices.
- Inspiration
- Crecia manufactures and sells paper products such as tissues and toilet paper, using paper made from environmentally friendly and sustainable wood resources. To convey the sustainability of these wood resources, they came up with the idea of creating a booth using only "paper and wood" materials, aiming to produce no waste by reusing or recycling everything after the event. They focused on designs that highlight the essence of "paper and wood" without unnecessary processing.
- Project Duration
- It was exhibited at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan in August 2023.
- Operation Flow
- At our booth, we conducted a stamp rally using surplus tissue box materials from the manufacturing process instead of regular paper. This initiative aimed to educate visitors on the recyclability of paper. Participants completed the rally by depositing stamped papers into a collection box, reinforcing the message of recycling. Additionally, we conducted surveys to understand how people dispose of used tissue boxes, further promoting paper recycling.
