About Project Nazare Cwch Hwylio

Mae Project Nazare yn gwch hwylio 24 metr a ysbrydolwyd gan donnau anferth Nazare ym Mhortiwgal. Mae'r corff llwyd wedi'i farcio ag acenion oren beiddgar. Mae nenfwd gwydr panoramig a ffenestri di-dor ar hyd y corff yn dod â golau dydd i mewn i'r tu mewn ac yn agor golygfeydd eang o'r môr a'r awyr. Mae pum caban yn darparu gwelyau ar gyfer deg o westeion. Mae'r garej tendr yn y cefn yn trawsnewid yn glwb traeth yn agos at y dŵr. Mae'r adeiladwaith carbon ac alwminiwm yn cadw'r cwch hwylio yn ysgafn a gwydn, gan gefnogi cyflymder, sefydlogrwydd a thrin hawdd gan griw bach.

About the Gwobr Aur A' Design Award

Mae Project Nazare Cwch Hwylio yn enillydd Gwobr Aur A' Design Award, cydnabyddiaeth aruthrol o fawreddog a roddir i ddyluniadau o'r radd flaenaf, rhyfeddol a rhagorol. Mae enillwyr Aur yn greadigaethau hynod arloesol, gweledigaethol a disglair o ysblennydd sydd yn adlewyrchu athrylith, doethineb a medrusrwydd eu dylunwyr. Disgwylir i Project Nazare Cwch Hwylio fod yn ddyfais hynod glodfawr, arloesol a chofadwy sydd yn cyflwyno gwerth digynsail. Mae'r dyluniad buddugol hwn o Wobr Aur A' Design Award yn brosiect ysblennydd a pharchus sydd yn elwa yn fawr ac yn symud ymlaen ffiniau celf, gwyddoniaeth, dylunio a thechnoleg. Mae Project Nazare Cwch Hwylio yn creu teimladau dwys o ddyhead, yn cynhyrfu angerdd, yn annog creadigrwydd ac yn ein cyfareddu.

Production Technology
In this challenging design process, the project inspired by Nazare's waveforms began with hand drawn sketches and was then detailed with cad software. Rendering programs were used for realistic visuals. Carbon fiber composite materials were preferred for lightness and durability, while aerodynamic efficiency and aesthetic balance were meticulously calculated. User experience and functionality were prioritized, and performance and visual appeal were combined in harmony.
Design Challenge
I balanced engineering and aesthetics to enhance performance while crafting an elegant, dynamic exterior. Inspired by Nazare’s iconic waves, the curves not only add style but also boost hydrodynamic efficiency. The challenge was minimizing weight while preserving structural integrity. Using lightweight yet durable materials, optimizing the form, and designing every detail efficiently were key to the process.
Research
This project explored the interaction between nature and humans in the design of a sailboat, inspired by the giant waves of Nazare. The aim was to establish a balance of both aesthetics and functionality. Lightness and durability were achieved with carbon fiber composite materials. Aerodynamic analyses and user experience tests were performed.
Inspiration
Inspired by the iconic giant waves of Nazare, this 24 meter sailing yacht symbolizes both the power of nature and the human will to resist this power. The gray hull reflects the power and mystery of the Atlantic, while the bold orange accents convey the fiery determination of those who dare to challenge the sea. Every detail pays homage to the power of nature, while also reflecting the human desire to transcend boundaries. This sailing yacht represents both a struggle and a harmony.
Project Duration
The project started in Istanbul, Turkey in January 2024
Operation Flow
This 24 meter sailing yacht delivers high performance with easy handling for a small crew. Its streamlined hull reduces water resistance, enabling faster and more efficient sailing, while the optimized sail system maximizes wind power. Built with lightweight yet durable materials, it ensures both speed and stability. User friendly controls make it accessible to sailors of all levels.
