About Ufuk Seçgel
Ufuk Seçgel is an industrial designer from Turkey studying in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He is ambitious about improving functionality but he finds the most fun part of design is developing experiences. He believes all designs should have a "touch me" impact and a personal connection to users identity. He starts the design process by organizing the concepts and he relies on emotion to do this as he believes emotion is a very helpful tool in organizing thoughts.
The creative work of Ufuk Seçgel has been honored by the internationally acclaimed A' Design Award & Competition in Heavy Machinery. The A' Design Award marks the achievement of Ufuk Seçgel in the international design competition. In the competition, Ufuk Seçgel entered anonymously, and an international grand jury panel of established academics, design professionals and press members decided by blind peer review.
The 2015 - 2016 edition of the A' Design Award & Competition brought the recognition to Ufuk Seçgel. Ufuk Seçgel holds the World Design Rating title Forthcoming Practitioner. Designers.org lists Ufuk Seçgel among the award-winning creators of Turkiye.

I studied industrial design in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. Before that I usually kept my art to myself, as a hobby really. It wasn't anything close to industrial or product design though.
